Inky and full of intrigue. This rare Italian variety gives us dark cherry, plum and a savoury, earthy edge. There’s plenty of grip, but the cooler climate keeps it fresh and refined. A bit of a surprise packet, and one we’re quietly proud of. A wine that will happily mature for a few more years.
Perfect with a woodfired pizza or slow-roasted lamb after a brisk walk by the bay.

Cool and steady conditions allowed for a slower ripening season, enhancing flavour development and structure. Yields were modest, but the resulting wines are layered, focused, and full of character. A vintage defined by patience and payoff.
